Ondo Rep, Tunji-Ojo Launches 7-Day Free Medical/Surgical Outreach For Constituents

• Over 1000 Beneficiaries Covered On Day 1, As Monarch Rallies Support For Tunji-Ojo’s Reelection

The member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency at the green Chamber and the Chairman, House Committee on NDDC, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has launched a 7 days free medical outreach for the benefit of members of the constituency.

The 7 days medical outreach which is expected to be held across 6 strategic centers in the constituency, began on Friday in Okeagbe Akoko.

The ‘BTO free Medical and Surgical Outreach’ kickstarted in Okeagbe Akoko today with over 1000 persons attended to by a team of Medical professionals including Doctors, Ophthalmologists, Pharmacists, Nurses and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWS).

Over 1000 patients— men, women, children — were attended to with over a hundred of them scheduled for surgery in the last two days of the programme. After diagnosis, they were given drugs that will last them for at least six months with eyes glasses given to those with eye problems.

The Ewi Of Aje, Oba Toba Bello who declared the outreach open in Okeagbe, advised the people to reelect Tunji-Ojo in a bid to sustain his excellent projects in the constituency.

While addressing the beneficiaries, coordinator of the project, Dr. Oluwatosin admonished them to use the opportunity to end any illness that must have been giving them sleepless night for a long time.

“This medical outreach is sponsored by Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. So, you are not paying a dime as it is absolutely free. Please, use this opportunity well.

” We have various departments that will attend to various type of sickness.

” Those who will require surgery will be attended to at the state Specialist hospital and we are happy to tell you that the bills for the surgery has been sorted by Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.”

Some of the beneficiaries appreciated Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for always feeling the pulse of the masses and responding swiftly to their needs.

One of the beneficiaries, Eunice Alabi thanked Tunji-Ojo for not restricting the opportunity to his party members alone and pledged support for his reelection.

” I haven’t been able to see clearly with my eyes for a very long time and I do not have the capacity to treat myself. I can’t read the bible very well anymore.

” When I got here, I was given drugs and glasses freely. It is even more impressive that no one requested for our party membership card like it has always been done in the past.

” We appreciate Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for this initiative. He has been a very supportive representative to us. May God give him the grace to continue doing more. We will always support any of his ambition, he is a good man.” She said.
