Amidst great tumultuous in the land and the dire need for courage, confidence, loyalty, character and integrity, give to Honourable Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. 
 
He is the Member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal constituency in the House of Representatives and also the Chairman of the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). 
 
Apart from obtaining 18 professional qualifications in ICT before the age of 22, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo became the Chief Executive Officer of an indigenous Company in Nigeria at a young age of 24. 
 
As a professional, he holds certification in Ethical Hacking and Counter Measures. He is also a certified Comptia Network Plus (Network +) Engineer and a Britannia Hardware A+ Management Certificate Holder.  
 
All these were obtained between 2002 and 2006 from London Metropolitan University and Britannia IT Training Academy, both in the UK. 
 
Popularly known as BTO, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is a shrewd lawmaker who has offered effective and responsive representation to the people he represents.  
 
Within a spate of two years, he has facilitated several kilometers of roads, completed and ongoing, including, Oyinmi Road, Ikare, Ajowa—Akunnu Road, Arigidi—Okeagbe Road, Arigidi—Iye Road, Inland Road, IKare.  
 
He has also facilitated patrol vehicles to all the divisional police stations across the federal constituency with other interventions like the renovation and furnishing of computer Centre in Akoko Anglican Grammar School, Arigidi Akoko, the construction of 2 blocks of 12 classrooms in Okeagbe Akoko and construction of one block of six classrooms in Eye Oke High School, Oyin Akoko. 

He recently reached out to the people of his constituency through days of medical and Surgical outreach with over 20,000 beneficiaries.  

This medical intervention was after he facilitated 12 ambulances, 4 motorcycles, 52 generators and multimillion medical equipment to all the basic and primary health centres in his Federal Constituency. 

He has not only proven his commitment to his people, but he keeps assuring them of doing more. 

He led the House of Representatives Committee to probe alleged malfeasance of over 80 billion Naira in the commission, making it the first time a probe will be launched into the financial activities of the NDDC in its over twenty years of existence. 

In March 2021, his proposed bill to repeal the NDDC Act which will make abuse of office impossible, a bill that passed the first reading. 

He recently sponsored two bills seeking to amend the Minerals and Mining and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund Acts.  
 
Basically, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) Bill will ensure that colleges agriculture alongside Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education are beneficiaries of the fund from TETFUND  
 
This is inspired by the need to restore the nation's past glory in the area of agriculture by giving special attention to agriculture-based institutions.  
 
The Act to amend the Minerals and Mining Act will among other things attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) through a well-articulated and coordinated incentive to prospective investors. 

At the First NTA Akure Forum Lecture Themed, "Good Governance In The Face Of Corruption And Insecurity; The Imperative Of Youth Involvement" in June this year where he was keynote Speaker, BTO credited his effective and responsive representation to his desire to deliver good governance in the face of insecurity and corruption.  

He was born on May 1, 1982 in Oyin Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State.  
 
Upon his election into the green Chamber on February 23, 2019, he mobilized 246 other lawmakers to support the speakership ambition of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, under the forum of first timers lawmakers chaired by him. 
 
Today, BTO is the Chairman, House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and also a member of House Committees on National Security and Intelligence, Local Content, Gas Resources, North East Development Commission (NEDC), Housing, FCT Area Council and Ancillary Matters, Solid Minerals and Pilgrims Affairs. 
 
He is a recipient of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award of Excellence as well as the Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Award as a Worthy Ambassador of African Youth. 
 
Earlier this year, he was conferred honourary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration by Joseph Ayo Babalola University.
 
Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo values relationship and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila minced no words when he recently concluded, “the man Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is somebody who has reached across all nooks and crannies of the 
House.” 
 
He is an entrepreneur per excellence and personification of hardwork and industry. 
A contemporary politician who was described as “a young man with passion, warmness, reception. One with a depth of understanding of Nigeria, economics and what makes a nation works, of the politics and policies of Nigeria” by veteran Actor and Director, Fred Amata on his first encounter with him.  
 
In one of the evening gatherings prior to his re-election, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State described BTO as a man who shows not just mere support but also love and commitment to a course.  
 
As the Chairman of the Contact and Mobilization committee for the re-election of the Governor, BTO mobilized beyond party lines and across the 18 local government areas of the 
Ondo State, a move that earned the Governor a second tenure in the October 10, 2020 election. 
 
His principles hinge on the words of William Shakespeare, “This above all: to thine own self be true.”
