One of the goals of the workshop was to address the thematic issues, challenges, concerns, and ways forward and this was achieved with thirteen papers delivered and deliberated upon by speakers including Mr. Aminu Galadima (Ag. Executive Secretary, Petroleum Technology Development Fund); Mr Bank Anthony Okoroafor (Chairman, Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria); Mr. Waziri Adio (Executive Secretary, Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative); Engr. Highlight of the communique birthed by this innovation includes advocacy for the fiscal stability of National and International Oil Companies (NOCs and IOCs); the consideration, by the National Assembly, of the Nigerian Content Development Fund of approximately seven hundred million dollars ($700 Million) resting with NCDMB; passage of the Petroleum Industrial Bill (PIB) which has since been signed by President Muhammadu Buhari; expansion of the Nigerian content policy framework through the Nigerian Content Policy and the Nigeria (Oil and Gas) Industry Content Development (NOGICD) ACT 2010 so that thousands of jobs can be created annually for the Nigerian Youth; collaboration of indigenous ship builders and government-owned outfit and support through development of capacity, technology acquisition and transfer to encourage the construction of marine vessels in Nigeria; review and the enforcement of the Nigerian Content Development Policy Framework and the NOGICD ACT 2010; vigorous pursuit of cost benchmarking to make market operation in the oil and gas sector competitive for Nigerian companies; compelling need for cost effective solutions to be developed in the oil sector in an internationally competitive dimension with special focus on capacities, capabilities and innovations; addressing the income – currency anomaly to make investment in the industry profitable; review of the Policies granting waivers to companies in maritime and manufacturing sectors of the country. This initiative, which has become an annual event, was adjudged as a platform to ensure the dispassionate discussions amongst all key stakeholders including the industry regulators, policy makers, research bodies and investors.

In 2019, he was elected into the House of Representatives to represent Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency of Ondo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Upon his inauguration, he mobilized 246 other lawmakers to support the speakership ambition of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, under the forum of first-timers lawmakers, chaired by him. Months later, he was appointed by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as the Chairman of the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). In an oversight function, he led the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC to probe the alleged malfeasance of over 80 billion Naira in the commission, making it the first time a probe will be launched into the financial activities of the NDDC in its over twenty years of existence. o Specifically sponsored a bill to repeal the NDDC act to make it impossible for public officers to engage in financial crimes. While overseeing the activities of the commission, I have led the Committee to provide oversight functions that would help the commission deliver on its mandate as an interventionist agency. Successes recorded so far include the completion of the lingering headquarters of the commission in Port Harcourt and the commissioning of same by President Muhammadu Buhari. This has built trust and confidence of investors and would-be investors in the Nigerian Oil and Gas landscape.
o As the Chairman of the Committee, I was saddled with responsibilities which include presiding over and setting agenda for committee meetings, scheduling hearings  and ensuring that they are conducted in a timely and efficient manner, representing the committee's views to the public, other members of the House and the media, working with other members of the Committee to ensure that it operates in a non-partisan manner, discretional introduction of legislation related to the committee's jurisdiction  and working with other members to promote the committee's agenda.

• Member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives (2019 to date).
o I have delivered effective representation to the people of my Federal Constituency that they have not experienced since the return of democracy in 1999 by facilitating legacy projects from federal government ministries, agencies, and parastatal, including Universal Basic Education (UBEC), Nigeria Communication Commission (NCC), Nigeria Building and Road Research Institute (NBRRI), Border Community Development Agency (BCDA), Ministries of Agriculture and Housing among others. Consequently, I have facilitated the installation of over thirty-two (32) 10,000 litres solar-powered boreholes across the Federal Constituency, installation of over fifteen (15) units 500 KVA transformers, construction of several blocks of classrooms, construction and renovation of over 100km of roads across the length and breadth of the constituency, amongst other projects.
