Tunji-Ojo commiserates with Ikare community over losses after devastating rainstorm

The member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has commiserated with the people of Ikare Akoko over the losses suffered after a rainstorm wrecked havoc in the ancient town. 

The incident which occurred on sunday reportedly left one person dead, many injured and affected hundreds of houses. 

The lawmaker in a statement by his spokesperson, Alao Babatunde, promised to engage relevant agencies of government to help provide succour to those affected by the incident. 

"It's quite unfortunate we lost a constituent, Taofeeq Ayepareti in the incident. He was a diligent and peace loving man even as a popular butcher. 

"At this point in time, I commiserate with the people of Okela, Ilepa and Okoja communities as well as other places in Ikare Akoko for all manner of losses. We will engage relevant agencies of government to provide succour."  

Tunji-Ojo also prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and quick recovery for those still in the hospital recieving treatment.
