Hon Olubunmi Tunji Ojo New Year Message
Here we are at the moment that marks the end of a year and definitely the beginning of another. To have survived 2021 and transited into 2022 is nothing short of divine grace and favour.
In the year, we lost heroes of our dear Akoko nation, including our highly revered Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations and our beloved Uncle Lawal of Greater Tomorrow Group of Schools, among others. Indeed, we had our own share of the pains in 2021.
Amidst the pains and gains that characterised 2021, we are grateful to God for leading us thus far.
We are also not ungrateful to you as a people for giving us the mandate to represent you. Your trust we hold in high esteem and we are not ignorant of your support in the year that ended a few minutes ago.
You will agree with me that 2021 witnessed landmark infrastructural and human capital development in our dear constituency through the effective and responsive representation we have delivered.
I reiterate that this is not the best we will offer and I assure you we will do more in 2022.
I am not unaware that the year 2022 will feature lots of political activities but then, I reassure you this will not in any form interfere with our determination to complement and consolidate on our strides across various communities in the federal constituency.
For me, I see the previous years as a period to lay the foundation of a greater Akoko nation as we hope to solidify these achievements this year and years ahead.
Welcoming you into the new year will not be complete without acknowledging your commitment in ensuring peace in your various communities. Thanks for your efforts in the pursuit of peace and development.
As an optimist, I have a strong belief that the year 2022 will be better for us all. As a people with strong resilience and mental strength, let us keep hope alive and God Almighty will see us through.
We continue to seek your support and prayers in this onerous task of continuing the good work which we have started and with God and our collective determination, we shall succeed!
Happy New Year 2022
